A very warm welcome and thank you for taking the time to look at my childcare website.  

My name is Mandy Wilkinson and I am a fully insured, Ofsted Registered Childminder based in Kings Hill, West Malling, Kent.  I first opened my home in March 1999, so have provided a childcare service for twenty seven years and I pride myself in offering a very reliable and professional childcare service, with flexibility to meet the needs of working parents.

My ethos as a childminder is to keep my child numbers low. This enables me to provide more of a one to one childcare service which I believe is very important as children start their learning journeys.

I am an EYFS professional childcare provider, but most importantly I am a loving mum and these different perspectives have helped me to establish a very successful childminding business over the years and I try to provide the best of both worlds - education through play and a loving and nurturing home.

All children in my care are treated as individuals and appropriate activities are incorporated into daily routines to stimulate and entertain. Children are encouraged to explore, play, learn and have lots of fun by taking part in a wide range of activities based around the things they love to do. 

I provide a warm, caring, relaxed and friendly environment where children can play, learn and develop. I have a wide range of activities for your child to promote learning and enjoyment through play and I follow the Early Years Foundation Curriculum as part of Ofsted's requirements.

I am a member of PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare & Early Years) and a Gold Member of Childcare.co.uk I have Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks on all family members.

Safeguarding

Safeguarding is paramount at my setting and is reflected in every part of our day.  My home and garden have been thoroughly risk assessed and every time we go out on an adventure I perform a mental risk assessment.  

When a family joins they are shown all my comprehensive policies, including my Safeguarding Policy.  This clearly lays out all aspects of safeguarding and the appropriate action that would need to be taken. 

I have completed the necessary first aid and safeguarding training. Parents are invited to view all of my qualifications.
